Madison Double R Fly Fishing Vacations Detail
We recommend flying into Bozeman (BZN) and renting a vehicle during your stay. The lodge is located about 10 miles south of Ennis, Montana - near the Varney Bridge fishing access site on the Madison River - and is about an hour's drive from Bozeman.
Madison River fishing in Montana is a year-round possibility, however, the ideal months are between June and September. The lodge is conveniently located as a central base for several days of fishing across Southwest Montana.
In addition to the Madison, our Bozeman fly fishing guides can add diversity to your vacation by adding a day to other regional fisheries such as the Jefferson, Big Hole, Ruby, lower Madison, or perhaps a day on Ennis Lake. However, the upper Madison River is one of the crown jewels of Montana fly fishing with varied sections and diverse scenery that can provide several days of exciting fishing for any angler.

Main Lodge
The main lodge is a stunning 3500 square foot building that consists of two pods connected by an outdoor trellised terrace. The lounge area in the main lodge features a full bar stocked with premium wines, beers, and spirits, a stack-rock fireplace, two televisions, and an outdoor covered porch with a fireplace where hors d'oeuvres are served while you enjoy the breathtaking sunset views.
In the other half of the lodge, you'll find a spacious dining room with massive windows that offer views of the pond, meadows, and the mountains in the opposite direction. During most of the summer months, the windows open up to create an immersive outdoor dining experience.
Additionally, the main lodge has an office for check-in, as well as a shop that's fully stocked with sunscreen, sunglasses, and branded Madison Double R items to help you remember your stay.
Creekside Cabins
These five spacious cabins offer a luxurious and private setting, with stunning views overlooking a beautiful meadow surrounded by tall cottonwood trees. It's common to see classic Montana wildlife, such as deer, eagles, coyotes, elk, and the occasional moose. The cabins feature two queen beds, oversized showers, soaking tubs, cozy fireplaces, flat panel TVs, hardwood floors, outdoor cedar decks, and small kitchenettes.
Every Creekside Cabin includes a 4-person golf cart and a pair of mountain bikes, making it easy to get around the lodge property.
Mountainview Cabins
Two 1700 square foot, 2-bedroom cabins located next to one another and designed for those looking for sophistication, spaciousness, and socializing. These cabins can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests and are perfect for up to 4 couples, 8 friends, or a single-occupancy option.
Each of the four guest rooms has two queen beds, oversized showers, a soaking tub, hardwood floors, a fireplace, flat panel TV, attractive shared living rooms, huge cedar deck, and a kitchenette. The views of the Madison Range from the cabins are breathtaking!
Like the Creekside Cabins, each Mountainview Cabin comes equipped with a 4-person golf car and a pair of mountain bikes for use by guests during their stay.
The Rec Room
Located just a few steps away from the main lodge. you'll find a 20-foot regulation shuffleboard table, a pool table, a gas fireplace, a dance sound system, a massive TV, and a comfortable lounging area where you can share stories about the fish you've caught - or missed - that day.
The room also features two impressive glass garage doors that open onto a spacious cedar deck, where you can enjoy the beautiful Montana evenings while you have fun.
The Workout Facility
A fully-equipped 1000 sq ft fitness center with machines, weights, hot tub, outdoor shower, private bathroom with a changing area, TVs, and stunning views for yoga or relaxation awaits you at our luxurious facility.
